Auction Protocol

During the auction there are no no minimum bids . All lots are up for auction. We suggest you bid what the items are honestly worth to you..
You may order by email to: birgit-lotz-verlag, or in writing to: Birgit- Lotz-Verlag, Rotdornweg 81, 53177 Germany, or by fax: 0049-228-365142. You may order in any currency - we do the conversion. However, all invoices will be in EUR (€) only.

All bids must reach us by the auction deadline 02 November 2008
After the auction has closed all unsold tems will be made available on a set sale basis (fixed prices, subject to Value Added Tax within EU countries)

Please order by lot number and artist (lot numers at the left-hand margin)

Please write legibly and check your order for typos and errors.

Our guarantee: In consideration of the enormous amount of items offered in a Lotz-Liste we cannot always check the condition acoustically (by playing the item) and sometimes have to rely on visual grading. And we cannot always check the condition of books and journals page by page. We do not claim to be perfect: If you feel the item was not accurately described we guarantee full refund of your bid (not postage) as soon as you return the item. We expect payment within a fortnight after notification and we expect to receive complaints also within a fortnight of delivery.

Shipping charges: Shipment after receipt of your payment. Charges at cost. We charge a flat rate of 10.00 EUR within Germany and at cost abroad. The cost of insured sea/air combination is about 24 EUR for a 1 kg packet, and each additional kg is 2,00 EUR to the US, or 3,00 EUR to Japan.

Printed Lists: You may buy the printed, book-size illustrated lists by sending a 10$ or 10€ bank note.

We buy and swap: we are always interested in rare or unusual labels; jazz and hot dance from outside the USA; ragtime, minstrelsy and cake-walk; ethnic and early world music; German personality; and anything unusual as well as gramophone needle tins.

Our grading code used in this list may vary from what you are accustomed to. It allows for eight steps ranging from N (=mint) via N-, E+, E, E-, V+, V, to V- (=extremely worn, and painful to listen to). Physical damage will be identified separately.

Almost all lots have stickers which are not listed separately. We take care not to remove royalty stamps or store decals as these are collectibles in their own right. See scans.
